Yes we enjoyed the Basque minded bites from the event’s host along with an array of other offerings from New York restaurants like PEARL OYSTER BAR, PALO SANTO of Park Slope, Brooklyn, and pizza brilliance from nearby CO. But, even with all that homegrown

goodness, days later we were still dreaming about North Carolina and the fried oyster atop a tarragon laced deviled egg from POOLE’S DINER in Raleigh and the deep fried goodness on a stick that was the chorizo corn dog from the soon-to-open MATEO in Durham.

Ah, a little bit of North Carolina in New York City.
